Mr Arshad Javed

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Blackpool Victoria Hospital since 2001. I have grown an incredibly broad and deep knowledge base of surgical procedures having been hand selected for numerous fellowships. These practical learning experiences, lasting several months at a time, were led by industry pioneers at world-renowned hospitals. They include St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne, where I worked with Dr. John O’Donnell and Sheffield Children’s Hospital, among others.

Hip and knee surgeries are my speciality, including (but not limited to) revision hip and knee surgery, knee arthroscopy, and sports injuries. I have particular interest in primary hip replacement.

I am the Clinical Lead for Orthopaedics at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and I mentor, train, and provide educational supervision to, junior doctors. I also have a longstanding relationship with Spire Fylde Coast Hospital, where I am the MAC (Medical Advisory Committee) Chairman, and hold Practising Privileges at Fulwood Hospital, Preston.

If you have any questions about my practising history or how I can you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with my secretary. Below, you’ll find a detailed summary of my academic and professional qualifications, as well as some extracurricular interests.
